Dr. Momeni has a particular interest in post-mastectomy reconstruction and has developed cutting edge surgical approaches to post-mastectomy reconstruction such as hybrid breast reconstruction (i.e. the combination of free flap transfer and implant placement) and techniques of flap neurotization with the goal to improve sensory recovery to the reconstructed breast.
Dr. Momeni is recognized nationally and internationally for his research in clinical outcomes after microsurgical reconstruction and Evidence-based medicine (EBM). He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and numerous chapters in major plastic surgery textbooks. He speaks regularly at national and international meetings and is an ad hoc reviewer for numerous scientific journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (JPRAS), Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Additionally, he is the Associate Editor of Annals of Plastic Surgery and serves on the Editorial Board of leading plastic surgery journals, including Microsurgery and European Journal of Plastic Surgery.
Do you have a 15-30 minute talk you’d like to give? WSPS is taking speaker submissions for both clinical and non-clinical talks! To submit an idea, email Cailey Nickerson with a topic idea and length. All sessions take place in the morning between 8 AM and 12 PM on Saturday 6/11 and Sunday 6/12.
WSPS requires that all attendees and their families (excluding non-eligible children) show proof of vaccination, or a negative PCR test administered, 24-48 hours prior to the conference. You can upload vaccine cards on the registration form.
